We needed a six foot life-size bronze statue for our hospital waiting area. Dee Jay Bawden was our first choice due to the fact that his artwork is so life like and his Bronze statues really evoke a feeling of warmth that is hard to capture in a bronze sculpture. Mr. Bawden is an incredibly talented sculptor. He has made life size figures of four people for me, including LSU Heisman Trophy winner and LSU football coach Paul Dietzel, and they were perfect. He not only captured their likenesses but also their emotions. In fact, Coach Dietzel and his family cried when they saw how DJ had captured his image in a one of a kind bronze sculpture.
I suppose the best recommendation I can give DJ Bawden is that I like his work so much that I have commissioned him to do four more Bronze sculptures, including an 18 ft tall monumental equestrian Bronze Statue of General Lafayette for our city.
Besides being a gifted artist, I have found DJ's prices to be very fair and that he is a truly nice person to do business with. I have worked with DJ Bawden for several years now and give him my highest recommendation.

  It isn’t easy to find a nine foot grizzly bear, that is unless you know the guys at Bawden Art and Bronze. I was amazed that they could come up with such a creative idea for our hockey team.
